What changed: Shopify now lets browser-based AI agents interact with checkout via WebMCP to update order details and complete purchases with buyer authorization.

How to use it:

1. Ensure your store uses Shopify Checkout with WebMCP endpoints enabled.
2. Configure the AI agent with the buyer's authenticated session and required permissions.
3. Instruct the agent to modify cart items, shipping, or payment details through the WebMCP interface.
4. Have the buyer review and authorize the final order before the agent submits it.
5. Verify the completed order in your Shopify admin.
